THE TSUNAMI WAVE CHARACTERISTIC

the tsunami wave characteristic is very different with ordinary wave. the tsunami wave flow with high velocity without lossing its energy. it can flow thousands kilometer from the earqueke epicentrum.but the tsunami wave took time a little bit longer than the seismik wave that caused by the earthqueke so there were some time to escape from tsunami.Tsunamiperiode may vary from 2 mimute until an hour.the wave length is also huge 100-200 km, compare to ordinary sea wave only have 10 sekon of it's periode and wave length 150 metres.Near the epicentrum the amplitude rising is not significant eventhough the velocity is very fast almost 900km/hour.in the middle of Pasific ocean with depth 4000 metres the velocity can reach 712 kms/h,when the wave close to the beach the velocity decreased until 71 kms/h.The energy can be count by the formula of the amplitudo and the velocity.

Near the epicentrum the velocity is very fast, but the changing of the amplitudo is not significant.the tsunami wave length ih very long, almost reach 300 km on single wave and the velocity could reach 600 mph in depth of 7000 metres.and closing the beach on 10 metres depth the velocity decrease until 20 mph with wave length 10 metres each single wave. The energy near epicentrum and near the beach is constan but the destruction force is bigger the last one because of the higher amplitudo on that wave when it's closing the beach.
